Historically,  italian gastronomy is one the richest in the world and it boasts of a publishing of great cultural value.
On the occasion of Expo 2015 Bookbinding Pedrelli and the Artistic School of Bookbinding of Parma will present an anastatic Edition of  the Bartolomeo Scappi's masterpiece (beginning of Xvth century /beginning of XVIth century to 1577), who was the Chef at Pope's court in the middle  of the 16th century.
The “Opera [from the art of cooking]” has been reprinted on a hight quality paper and it has been bounded  with fine leather;  it has an historical introduction and an Editorial Board in spite to allow all those bibliophiles and passionates of this art to have a masterpice of the gastronomic publishing, which, otherwise, would have been almost impossible to find.
The project, thanks to the precious collaboration of Academia Barilla, which has provided the unique library heritage of Parma for reproductions, will grow an enrich itself over the time of further fundamental works of the italian gastronomic publishing.
